Possum Are People Too
Opossums

In the Beginning there was light and on the 6th day "God said "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind .. God saw that it was good"
(Bible Gen. 1: 24-25 KJV).

The wildlife communities state that Opossums lived during the Dinosaurs and in the Bible God created all creatures at the start of time.

Opossums or Possum for short, can grow to a length of 20 inches and weigh between 9 and 13 pounds. Their coats are a dull grayish brown, other than on their faces, which are white. Opossums have long, hairless, tails, which can be used to grab branches and carry small objects. They also have hairless ears and a long, flat nose. ( Wikipedia / Opossums )

New Opossum

Opossums have 50 teeth and opposable, clawless thumbs on their rear limbs. When they open their mouth and display their teeth the look they display is like an alligator look. The alligator look is to help scare off unwanted preditors. with display of their 50 sharp little teeth. They use that look to scare off people that they may feel is harmful to them or display an act of faking death.

Opossums are also known as garbage collectors and can be found late at night eating food out of your trash can, your pets bowl outside, or dead animals that may have been killed on the road.

Opossum are marsupials and referred to as Virginia Opossums. Their life span is not very long in the wild due to preditors and humans, but have been known to live up to 5 years in capitivity. In most states the wildlife associations don't allow Opossums as pets but their is situations that they can not be released.

Opossums have also been known to hiss when being confronted with an obstacle or playing.  Opossums that may have been hurt in the wild and are being cared for by a care center, may become - what they call "Non Releasable".

Non Releasable animals can not live in the wild with out help so they are not released back into the wilderness.

Opossums that become Non Releasable have been known to hiss at there caregiver, showing affection or playing jester
